District 211 students are invited to take advantage of a recent development that provides the opportunity to be recognized by the State of Illinois for demonstrating proficiency in English and one additional language. Seal of Biliteracy applications are now available in the Student Services Office.
To be eligible for the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy, a high school student must demonstrate proficiency in English and an additional language by meeting the following criteria:
Students interested in taking the APPPL or STAMP exam will take it Tuesday, May 24, 2016 during the first four periods of the day. The exam consists of four modules and lasts two – four hours. There is a $20 fee associated with the administration of this exam. Payment and registration will need to be submitted by the end of the school day Friday, May 20, 2016. Interested students should pick up an application in the Student Services Department to find out school-specific testing details.
